Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Virus Subtype H5N1 in Africa
A Comprehensive Phylogenetic Analysis and Molecular Characterization of Isolates
This paper is an excellent outcome of fruitful collaborations between FAO Rome/RAHCs, IZSVe and African scientists. IZSVe is the only institute that is able to publish African reviews on H5N1 since they receive many samples/isolates from Africa. The reader will find interesting conclusions as well on H5N1 molecular epidemiology in Africa.
The Letter of Agreement between FAO and IZSVe greatly facilitated this work.
