HPAI reagent demand – supply hub
The SADC region has remained free of HPAI to date, but the disease still remains a threat and countries are encouraged to remain vigilant in their efforts of early detection and preparedness. One of the key activities is surveillance of the different poultry sectors, borders and life bird markets. FAO is assisting the countries in the SADC region by offering their Central Veterinary Laboratories easy access to reagents critical to carry out the OIE recommended serological tests.
The attached flyer describes how the Demand – Supply hub, established at the Onderstepoort Veterinary Institute in Pretoria, South Africa, works.
