Surveillance Guidelines for Backyard and Free Range Poultry Farming Systems in the SADC Region
This document is the short version of a study carried out in the framework of a USAID funded project implemented by the FAO, ref:OSRO/RAF/719/USA, entitled:Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Surveillance Guidelines for the SADC Region with an emphasis in Backyard and Free Range Poultry Farming Systems.
The study was commissioned by the decentralized FAO ECTAD unit in Gaborone, Botswana with the aim to give guidelines for HPAI surveillance in the SADC region, which so far has remained free from the disease.
